It didn’t work. She didn’t make it her own. She literally just played and sang the exact same way John did, maybe down tempo here and there. The least she could do is gender reverse the lyrics, would’ve made it way more bearable. Example on Gravity; “gravity has taken better men than me”. Sorry Lindsay, but you shouldn’t have rushed this so much. You should’ve take just a little more time and taken something you claim influenced so greatly to do music, and made it your own sound throughout this record instead of copy/paste. Really made the performances suffer, it’s mind boggling that her label even let her do this. Next time just stick to working on your own material. 👎🏻

NO stars. None. Lindsay Ell is terrible. Write your own songs sister or be something original bc right now it looks like you enjoy dangling off the coattails of others. John Mayer ain’t dead, this isn’t a tribute...you just don’t have any of that special sauce.

Respect her guitar playing, but this was pretty mediocre

This album is literally a cover that was never actually requested or wanted. If you want to cover a John Mayer song in the middle of a concert, fine. Why you would want to re-record the entirety of Continuum when you don't compare to the original is beyond me.

The fact that she played every single instrument on every single track is mind blowing to me! Such talent!! And the vocals are beautiful.

What a wonderful talent Lindsay is! Have followed her from the beginning. Great vocals and guitar chops. Love this tribute to John Mayer’s best album. Keep it coming, Lindsay!

Lindsay Ell is so unbelievably talented. I’m blown away by every song! And she played all of the instruments herself!

This whole album has a raw edge to it. What's cool is it gains momentum the further along it goes. The last two songs are very strong and there's some licks played that'd make John turn his head.

Great singer, really good guitarist covering songs penned by John Mayer. This album has heart and soul. She could have written this album herself. Her renditions easily compete with John’s.
