Unique, especially for its time, and also beautifully emotional. Porter has a magical way of going for a certain emotion and nailing it perfectly with his incredible sound design, moving storytelling, and use of vocals/VOCALOID. Truly, Worlds is one of the best electronic albums, if not the best album ever. Personally, I can’t wait to see what Nurture will hold! Here’s to a new album that’s hopefully just as, if not more breathtaking than this one!

With Worlds, Porter Robinson crosses lanes within the EDM realm from complextro (A term coined by Robinson himself) to more chillwave and synth/dream pop, emphasizing a more slowed down vibe. The album is heavily influenced by video games such as the Legend of Zelda and it frequently features a robotic voice that resembles GlaDOS from the game Portal. You have to really admire Robinson for stepping outside of the box and changing things up for his listeners in order to keep things fresh. I’d give this a rating of a solid 8+/10 and I highly recommend it to fans of Robinson’s or just EDM fans in general as it is one of the best EDM albums that I’ve listened to.

Every song on hear is brilliant in its own way. This is one of the only albums where every song is just as good as the last. Each song seems like it was carefully made witch makes them millions times better than every lazy production nowadays. This album is proof that Porter has mastered electronic music.
