    Sounds like grocery store music.
  • Different from previous albums

But still highlights her incredible songwriting. This album is a rollercoaster of emotions that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Always a beautiful voice but very simple and bland. Every recording artist has a fail. This would be that. Look forward to the next album. Until then I will listen to her previous albums.

I cannot say enough good things about this album! As a person who went through a divorce years ago & have been happily married for many more years Ms. Musgraves gets it right. Divorce does not simply break your heart, it shatters your soul. This album's music is heart wrenching & the lyrics are right on point. Hats off to Ms. Musgraves. I hope this album helps her heal.
  • Huge Swing, Bit Of A Miss

After letting this album really settle in almost a month after it’s release I can say that it’s a decent body of work. The production is good especially on songs like Cherry Blossom, Camera Roll and What Doesn’t Kill Me. But where I was really let down was in the lyrics. They are immensely surface level and blanket. It absolutely PAINS me to talks about her in this manner because Golden Hour as well as Pageant Material are some of my favorite records ever. I was just anticipating something much more striking. 2.5/5
  • So good!

Of course this album was not going to be upbeat.. this album was more personal and intimate and you can tell in the sounds and lyrics. If you do not like slow tempo or ballads than this album is not for you. Appreciate the artistry she has come up with after her divorce.
  • Best album of the year so far

This is her best album and the album of the year idc. It’s so deep, so sad and the same time independent.
  • Disappointing but the vinyl is pretty

She really made magic with Golden Hour and somehow lost all the qualities that made that record so polarizing. This is not a bad album but it is not an album worthy of any accolades from the Grammys or anyone. I bought all versions of the vinyl which made me enjoy it. I love the tone of her voice in if this was a movie and the intro is great but very short . I also feel like simple times was an attempt to write like early Lana del Rey but nowhere as good.
  • are you kidding me?

if people have such a problem with this album, just buy a song from the album individually. i don’t get it. sure, all the songs sound the same, but if you buy the entire album, then yeah it gets played. but if you buy a song individually, it’s different. try again. i rate this five stars because the artist deserves to see a five star rating for her nice songs.
